Annual Curry Bash

Please join us on Saturday, October 31 2009, at 6:00 pm at the Emma Mennonite Church.   Our special guest is John Lapp – Director for International Ministries/West Asia and Middle East.  Curry dishes will be provided–please bring a dish to share.   We look forward to seeing you, and sharing how Christ is at work in the village of Chiluvuru, India.

Board Meeting Report Day 2

We just finished up and were able to connect with Olga again via a phone.  She is visiting with their first grandchild.  Today’s discussion went well as we discussed various financial aspects.  The Lord has been faithful in the past and we expect him to be faithful moving forward.  John will be traveling back this afternoon, while Doc will stay on for a few more days.

Board Meeting Report:

We gathered in Harvey’s basement spending a few moments to reconnect with each other.  It was good to hear from one another after having not been together for a while.  We discussed various aspects of our role as a board as the clinic evolves.    We also talked about when trips would be taken and goals for interacting with the people while there.  Then we broke for supper and shared a good meal.  The evening was spend discussing financial issues.  We’ll reconvene again in the morning.

Upcoming Board Meeting

The Board will be gathering the weekend of May 8^th and 9^th.  We cherish your prayers during this annual meeting.  We give praise to God for his continued blessings on this ministry and we thank each of you for your support.

Travel Report

On Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. John C. Murray and Troy Frick shared stories of their recent trip to visit Menno Clinic India with about 100 persons at Hesston Mennonite Church in Hesston, KS. The report highlighted some of the social, cultural and economic realities of India, but focused mainly on stories of encounters with persons in Chiluvuru.
